Greetings! 🤩I am here after the series ended. Also, I verified many tracks from the series with music identifying programs and looked for them on YouTube in order to create audio tracks for an album release of my own! I hope they create a spin-off series or a continuation of the original! 😃Being a 24 years + US ARMY veteran, I enjoyed most of my career as a military police officer. It is the first occasion in my entire life that a series that captured the essence of the civilian legal system had a soothing effect on my anxiety, ADHD and PTSD. I loved it. I just had to come over after perusal the season 8 finale of Suits. I felt soooo relieved that Donna and Harvey finally got together! It was killing me! I saw Cold War Kids play this song live at Mempho Music Festival back in October of 2017, right after I had met my now husband Joe. My cousin Matt was a huge fan of CWK and I went to see the show because of him. I had carried a capsule of his cremated ashes around my neck for several years and then still carried it with me in my purse until that concert. It was a truly supernatural moment because I felt his presence there with me, I practically saw him dancing over the stage as the crowd was filled with energy and drenched in sweat, and at the end it was like he blasted off into space, so I set his ashes and myself free under a tree at Shelby Farms park. This song & article are so awesome. My favourite Cold War Kids song was Relief but it had one mild Christian undertone which made me think “uhhh?”. Was still down with Cold War Kids, excellent music, didnt do a deep dive or anything. Still liked their singles i heard on the radio but im too old to buy new music, i just stream excellent stuff. I kinda get your plagiarism concern, but I would be highly disgusted with any artist who would hear/see another creative piece that had elements of them ( flattery) and then some… and it is the “then some” .. THAT makes a difference. Influence has been part of human behavior since man walked. This may have some similarities but it also has some greater ( sorry not greater just different) reaching tendencies that have their own merit. And somehow I also hope that would convince any Judge or jury that there was absolute new creativity in this and therefor it is original….

Hate to say it, but looked up this song because of suits. I hate the sort of situation this song is in. Only getting recognition because of a tv series instead of the talent that created it.
