  • I hate it when an article gives some statistics as percentages, & some as “1 in ___”. It makes it harder to compare. And to portray an unemployment rate as “REFUSE to work”? If you want to see non-sensationalized easy-to-compare info on CT towns, look at Connecticut Magazine’s issues on this. The different issues on it also group the towns by size.

  • OMFG! The first town, Ansonia. Lived there and me and my bestie complained about the same thing. No jobs available! You better have a remote job or the property better be an AirBNB because you won’t make any money in Ansonia. There is one small government building. Social Security Building. If you don’t work there, at City Hall or at the schools. Its dead, money wise. Deby and Ansonia are historically connected. Derby only has jobs at the hospital or the courthouse. The judge was very nice to me when I got in a fight with my neighbor though. Also reguarding New Haven, I tried to tell my high school classmates in the south, don’t go to New Haven! They think Yale must make the place safe. It’s definitely a scary vibe in New Haven.

  • Hartford has many nice areas, as well as not so nice or safe. I do love the old beautiful houses, historic places including a very old graveyard near the Capitol. I have found all the people, in all parts of Hartford, very nice, if you treat them with respect. I have worked in New Haven and Hartford, enjoyed both.

  • Again he gets it wrong. I live in the New England area. Yes while Bridgeport is by far the worst the rest of those not so much especially Norwalk. Places like Hartford, New Haven, and New Brit have their issues, but if places like these are on here then where is Groton, Bristol, Manchester, Willimantic/Windham. Also Avon, which is next to Hartford, is the safest place to live because it is the most affluent followed by Stratford, which is next to Bridgeport, then West Hartford. Still a lot of CT has changed over the time, except Bridgeport is still the poorest. While Avon, Stratford, and West Hartford are the richest. Hell this man got my state of MA wrong. He said Brockton is next to Plymouth. 😆😅🤣😂 The shortest distance between those two cities is almost 45mins, with no traffic.

  • Keeping in mind you’re from California you get a pass for now. But it’s foliage, like: FO-lee-ige, not foil-age. There, I’ve upheld our snobby reputation. In all honesty, outside of the top 4 and New Britain, the rest aren’t that bad, but yeah, moving here from elsewhere can be difficult because most of the people who are here are from here.

  • I was born and raised in Hartford Connecticut not a bad place 🫶🏿 to live if you’re the type of person to mind your business I’ve also lived in New Britain for 6 years and that’s not a bad place to live I think people who make these top 10 worst places to live articles should actually asked someone who’s lived in these places before they judge for the narratives
