The Conspiracy Eyeshadow Palette, a collaboration between Shane Dawson and Jeffree Star Cosmetics, sold out in just 30 minutes, according to Star. The launch of the palette shattered a record for Jeffree Star Cosmetics, with 1 million total eyeshadow palettes sold, including the flagship Conspiracy Palette and a smaller Mini-Controversy. Within 30 minutes, each of the 60,000 Conspiracy Palettes from the restock on the company’s website sold out.
Shane Dawson’s Conspiracy Collection with Jeffree Star Cosmetics is no longer available for sale on the Morphe website, causing speculation it has been removed in the wake of the current scandal. The full 18-shade palette will sell for $52 when it goes on sale on November 1st, while a nine-shade palette will sell for $28. They will also offer a $90 bundle of six lipsticks.
The Conspiracy Collection was a huge success, selling out in less than 24 hours, with many fans waiting for hours online to get the products. With over one million units ordered, the collection could make a total of $35 million. The launch day was shook by the products selling out quickly, and the palettes are still shipping at the main store.
Despite the success of the Conspiracy Collection, technical issues have been resolved, and the palettes are currently sold out on Jeffree Star Cosmetics’ website. James Charles’ primary palette, which sold out in five minutes when it debuted in November 2018, is priced at $39.

📹 What Shane Dawson DELETED From The Series.. Conspiracy Palette Tutorial
HEY EVERYONE… Welcome BACK to my channel! Today I’m playing with the SOLD OUT Shane Dawson x Jeffree Star Makeup …
Recent events in 2020 have completely changed the way we look at this Shane Dawson series. Although the business principles explained in this article remain relevant, the information that has come out about Shane Dawson and Jeffree Star raises a lot of major issues, which I talk about in my latest article. For my updated thoughts on this situation, you might want to give that a watch: youtu.be/EctPZ_0_Rp8
I like how everyone was like”it’s not aesthetically pleasing”Shane and jeffree knew that, they know that people buy an entire pallet and only use certain colors, while they wanted to incorporate colors that were wearable for everyone,my opinion…it’s better to have something that you’ll use more than to buy something and only use it once or twice cause it’s “pretty”
My personal experience: after about two hours of waiting, I was able to “place my order”. I never received a confirmation email, I couldn’t look at my account to see my order history and customer service didn’t get back to me for hours. The money was taken from my bank account then put back in a couple hours later, then customer service told me that if I hadn’t received my email yet my order wasn’t placed and I wouldn’t receive it. I ended up ordering the mini, but it was seriously such a disappointment, being told I had it then hours later having it taken away from me.
when it released, i was CRYING. i was going to get the two pallets when suddenly the website crashed and i could get ANYTHING. i was balling my eyes out. as said in the article, i would never do something like that. but i wanted bc i freaking love shane and i like makeup. soon i preordered it and now i’m happy :’)
I remember when YouTube used to be just a platform where everything big stayed in YouTube now content creators have expanded and gone onto the news and media which is a big step up for popularity Doesn’t matter if it’s bad news (Logan Paul filming in the forest) or good news especially with events like the boxing matches and you tubers becoming professional I kind of miss the old YouTube but I am also quite exited for how the platform will change and evolve into something much more bigger….
This kind of marketing strategy is not new. In korea fir instance, when a new kpop group is formed by big companies, they would create a series of reality tv that shows the forming and perfecting of the idols, who along the way develop a fanbase before even debuting!!! Or a while after debut, And it is OLD!!!! LIKE in the 90s old… there was JYP’s group shinhwa and then later YG’s bigbang, SM’s super junior, and more recently 101, AOA, and it is still ongoing. It is genius, but not their invention, but genius nonetheless 😊
I happened to get lucky. I heard about the site crashing so I went straight to Morphe’s site and waited 30 minutes to check out. I gave up after awhile because they said it was permanent and eventually it’ll restock. But a few days later I went to the mall with my friend and found out they opened up a new morphe store that had no customers (it was a monday so not many people were at the mall). So I casually walked in and found 7 conspiracy palettes and a few mini controversy palettes in the front of the store. It was nice to swatch them and make sure I really wanted it. I ended up getting the conspiracy palette and got cashed out in minutes. Most chill experience for such a big launch, thanks morphe for opening up a store near me!
I can understand why some people would think the palette colors were ugly 😂 but as an avid make up user who loves color seeing this palette with a lot of colors I didn’t own was really exciting for me plus it had a lot of neutral colors so if someone wanting to experiment more with eyeshadow but not wanting a full blown rainbow colored palette, this could be fitting 😊
I don’t understand the whole “story” concept following a product. If I don’t need it, I won’t buy it. I have either the same to similar color to the shades in the conspiracy palette in palettes I already own. So I found no reason to buy it. Anyone else thought the same? The packaging is visually pleasing, but not enough for me to buy it
The launch was at 4am for me lol. I stayed up for it and managed to get it after about 2 hours. Still waiting for it to arrive but judging by the fact that I live in Sydney and there’s literally bushfires raging everywhere, I feel like it’ll get delayed for a bit longer. Also side note I’d literally watch a article of you saying the word Andrei for 2 minutes straight
I just always miss out because the time zone all the merch and make up is released in is like 3am in my time and cause I had work I couldn’t stay up that late. When it restocked I missed out too so now I gotta wait for the 2020 restock :/ I saw people checking out multiple palettes it’s crazy. Edit: Another thing, I know people loved the series with Shane and Jeffree. I did too but because of a different reason. It really helped me discover and realise how I wanna learn make up and maybe even create something like that I found it generally interesting when they were designing it all
Lol….I’m a makeup person, with literally 100+ palettes, 100s of lipsticks, used to work at Ulta, have both Ulta and Sephora credit cards, etc etc etc…..I knew nothing of this palette until the internet blew up last month. So, yeah, it wasn’t that earth-shattering. I worked at Ulta when James Charles’s palette came out, and that bitch was sold out for literally MONTHS. The conspiracy palette was a blip with limited appeal and even more limited distribution.
Ok guys. Let me tell y’all what pisses me off about the palette drop. People were saying “it’s been loading for 45 minutes” and “the page crashed” YALL NEED TO DO RESEARCH. This makeup drop is comparable to supreme and golf drops. You needed to buy the product as SOON as it was dropped, and refresh the page if it’s “loading” it wasn’t loading it was crashing, refresh ur page. Idk just saying some people got so mad on twitter for how the website was working, when you shouldn’t be mad at all. There were so many people complaining saying “it’s not even worth the time” DOES ANYONE ELSE KNOWNHOW BIG THIS DROP IS? I think some people are rly rly dumb and some of y’all need to realize shopping online OR irl for a HYPED product will ALWAYS take time and a lot of work
I purchased the blood sugar palette on April 1st and it was processed on the the 4th and I received it on the 8th. Conspiracy palette purchase was supposed to go through on the 4th I’m now on the 11th day since I purchased it on the 1st. It’s been a whole week and aside from my confirmation email i still haven’t received an email or text from them that it’s been processed
omg its in the series!!! 👏 the main reason why the color range is “different” is because they want to inspire people to dip into different colors since everybody sees only shades like brown and tan would be “normal” worn around. ALSO he wanted the colors to be similar to his own life, and his life isnt all a dull color.

I looked into starting a makeup company all the way back in January. From absolutely nothing. Did the company have a successful launch considering I’m an 18 year old in college? Absolutely not. Here’s why. The ballpark cost of just starting with an original lipstick ALONE with a quality formula and original packaging is gonna cost you somewhere from $200,000 to $500,000 dollars. It’s gonna take you six months of business planning and making enough connections, and another six months for the creation process to begin. On top of that, you need to make sure your marketing is on wraps. A lot legal paperwork is gonna need to be signed to confirm your not stealing formulas in other people’s products. On top of that, major players will probably send you relentless lawsuits claiming that they have the right to your formula, so you’ll need to probably hire a part time/ full time lawyer depending how serious things get. In summary, unless you have an abundance of wealth lying about and an amazing background in business and cosmetics, it’s best to leave things to the pros. That is unless you are tenacious enough. Edit: well… I guess nobody’s curious enough to read what I wrote 😞
Anyone else hate how the articles were edited? You can hardly tell what’s going on because all the clips are randomly placed and there’s music throughout the ENTIRE article, in EVERY article. It’s like a giant 5 part trailer. It’s so fucking over dramatic. I like how his series used to be edited, when the article goes on order and there’s less music
You are way off on mine and my wife’s reason this launch was so big, me and my wife grew up together during high school and we were emo kids and knew jeffree from his beginning and perusal him cause trouble has been a joke to us, and I felt like I owed it to jeffree for being the laughing stock of my entire childhood, he’s a fucking clown 😂😂
The reason I buy make up is because people get me gift cards. I’ve never visited a stand alone makeup store. One of the reasons why I want to purchase the palate is because how emotionally invested I’ve become and also how Shane is. Though I don’t even watch Shane website anymore I’ve seen the hard work and pride that has gone into this and I want to support it. One of the reasons why I trust it so much is because Jeffrey was so transparent about the money, behind the quality of his make up, and how as a customer I could obtain something as nice as this without being overpriced from other companies.
Wait thats it? They were baiting so that people will buy more of their product? That’s it? I mean sure from a business stand point it’s amazing how many people were fooled by it but.. this isn’t an original idea this has been done A LOT. So that’s it there’s nothing special about it, it’s just a bunch drama making YouTubers click baiting for more sales? Thats really disappointing.
I can’t help but like Jeffree Star, despite al the pesky drama right now, but seriously, how much did he do for a lot of people especially Shane. Jeffree Legitimate seem like he cared and put Shane first when creating this launch. In the launch article Jeffree seems so interested in Shanes happiness and was really helping in the industry. You really have to have a thick skin to be in this industry it seems and of course Jeffree is going to be the way he is throughout this whole dramatic drama. I still give Jeffree props for being a friend and someone who seems to be there for others..
I know Jeffree will probably not see this but I just finally bought my first jsc palette today. I really wanted the cremated palette but this one was definitely my second choice. I just wanted to say thank you for opening my mind to creativity of makeup. Being disabled has been really hard for me and your articles kept me going strong. I’ve been perusal you for years and been such a huge fan. I literally can’t sleep because I’m so excited waiting for my palette to arrive in just two days!!!! Much love! ♥️♥️♥️
For hours I have watched every episode of yours and Shane’s series, I have cried, laughed hysterically, and for such a long time I was curious as to if you were the “monster” so many have said you are…. I have bought one of your highlighters, in the past, which I ADORE!! But with all the controversy around you, I honestly did not know and was weary of buying your things but perusal your story, who you are as a person, I immediately went on to your site to see if your pallet with Shane was available and of course, it isn’t. I’m so fucking proud of you, you are truly an inspiration and so incredibly raw and amazing… please continue to stay strong and be you! I know you probably won’t read this but seriously you were my background picture on MySpace for a long time, the photo with ur finger in ur mouth with the pink juice and the cereal photo. I’ve always admired how absolutely kick ass you are!
2019 has been such a difficult and sad year for so many of us, full of change. I personally lost my life long friend a few weeks ago, my dog that I grew up with since I was 3. I have been so depressed, even before this incredible loss, and I know that a lot of us have been. This year was almost hopeless. The one thing that I looked forward was the launch and the series. They distracted me from all my problems and sadness and has brought light into the dark. Thank you so much for helping Shane’s dreams come true and being such a great friend and influencer. You have really inspired me to follow my own path and start taking responsibility for my life. This entire series and launch has given me that small push to get me out of the ditch that I wound up in. Thank you so much Edit: Wow, I can’t thank you all enough for the amount of love and support! Bless you all! ❣️❣️
I’ve been out of the loop of things. Lol! I love your brand! Me and my daughter love your makeup! Keep up the awesome work girl! My daughter share your makeup! I’m 46 and my daughter is 21 and it’s hard to find a brand that a mature woman and a young woman both agree on and love. You’re a Queen and keep moving forward!
My 2019.. 1. Got fierd 2. Met my beautiful boyfriend on tinder 3. My epilepsy got worse 4. My parents moved (they visit often) 5. If I did’nt meet my bf I don not know what I would do, got depressed real quick. I have no money but I wish I could meet Jeffrey, Nate, Shane and Ryland. Your advice has inspired me to push myself to creating more music and art. Love you.
Omg I know I’m late perusal this article, but omg you had me dying laughing at the broken mirror part. I have been perusal you since Myspace, but only recently within the last few weeks caught back up with you. You’ve always been an inspiration and an amazing person to me!! Jeffree please keep doing you. Know that you and Nate belong together, when you are each individually ready to be fully vulnerable beyond the cameras ❤❤❤❤
I just lost my best friend, he was only 8 months old and a car hit him (one of my relatives cars which made it worse). It was a total accident but it still hurts. I can’t imagine losing two fur babies in one year… My heart goes out to you and Nate and the other dogs. I can’t wait to try out this collection and use it to pour my heartache into creativity ❤
I was really looking forward to the masterclass in January. I had my ticket and couldn’t wait to see Jeffree and get the goodie bag. I went to the last one in the UK and it was amazing. The goodie bag was sickening. I understand why he cancelled however. Going through a break up is never easy. It’s so sad seeing how excited he is here, only to fast forward and for the relationship to end at a time, that should of been super happy. They just launched a best selling palette, bought an iconic house and were looking forward to an exciting future. I’m glad Jeffree has good people around him that helped him through this difficult time. I loved his palette launch after Conspiracy, Blood Lust and can’t wait to see what’s next!!
