  • Thank you for the useful instructions. However, there is a significant misconception in the article. The metallic plates on the upper side of the circuit board do not make electrical contact with the rubber keys. The electrical contact is made by the hidden underside of the metallic plates. Additionally, their upper side is protected by a plastic foil. Unless the foil detaches from the board, there should be no way for dirt to get into the contacts. See the useful comment by @nemilose: “… My problem was dirt under the metal part of the button.”

  • My POWER button has started to constantly stay RED at all times and will not allow me to use the remote basically at all. Is this due to a possible sticky button that needs to be taking apart and cleaned? I’ve reset and re registered it and didn’t help. Would the power button staying red at all times meaning a button is stuck down on one of the contacts?
