Is A Bar Located In Magic Kingdom?

Magic Kingdom at Disney World does not have bars, so visitors should either make reservations at table service restaurants or anticipate waiting for a table to open. The only way to enjoy alcohol at Magic Kingdom is at the sit-down table service restaurants or by splurging on the Magic Kingdom dessert fireworks party at the end of the park day.

Alcohol was first served in the park in 2012 and has since expanded to adult beverages at all table-service restaurants. Gaston’s Tavern serves snacks and non-alcoholic beverages like LeFou’s Brew in the Enchanted Forest area of New Fantasyland at Magic Kingdom park. Oga’s Cantina in Galaxy’s Edge at Disney’s Hollywood Studios or the Dawa Bar in Animal Kingdom offer alcoholic refreshment.

There are no bars at Magic Kingdom, and takeout alcohol is not available for purchase. However, alcohol can be bought at tables in restaurants that offer table service. If you cannot find a bar at Magic Kingdom, there are bars/lounges in the hotels bordering Seven Seas. Shades of Green across from Be Our Guest Restaurant Cinderella’s Royal Table Crystal Palace The Diamond Horseshoe is another option.

Before Magic Kingdom, guests can enjoy cold beer or other alcohol at nearby establishments like Trader Sam’s Grog Grotto and Tiki Bar, Tambu Lounge, The Enchanted Rose, The Steakhouse 71 Lounge, Territory Lounge, Geyser Point Bar and Grill, Roaring Fork, and Whispering Canyon Cafe.

  • This was very interesting. I enjoyed listening to each of the points you made on this topic. I am also on the side of no bar serving alcoholic drinks in MK. Just keep all that at Epcot. I don’t see any good coming out of it and there probably would be more fights and chaos if people start getting drunk at MK. As always, thanks for keeping this community informed and sharing your thoughts on different subjects.

  • Thank you for trusting your subscribers with your honest thoughts on this issue, Adam and Kristen. As you can see, there is a lot who agree. You aren’t alone! I am in support of this being a fun “non-alcoholic” family oriented Pirates Tavern. It would be nice to have a fun variety of these kind of drinks for those of us who don’t drink. I love me a good non-alcoholic specialty drink. I remember during my very first WDW trip, when I was in Junior High, my favorite drink at dinners was a Pina Colada. (Non-alcoholic, of course) AND YES, I’m well at an age where I can drink. I just choose not to. 😉

  • I agree about an actual bar in Magic Kingdom. I don’t think that’s a good idea. I would love to see a Pirates themed bar in Disney Springs. I love going to Jock Lindsey’s for the atmosphere and to have a Singapore Sling while chowing down on some of their snacks. They could totally do that for a Pirates Tavern and make $$$!!

  • Considering that Disneyland is getting more booze in its park, I wouldn’t be surprised to see Magic Kingdom get more booze in its park too. It clearly hasn’t been a problem overall. But if anything, I’m thrilled to see Pirates in Florida finally getting what it deserves- a well themed Pirates of the Caribbean restaurant. The other parks (aside from Hong Kong) all have Blue Bayou style restaurants in their Pirates attractions, which Florida never had. Florida has only had some bad counter service places. I would really not mind seeing Tortuga Tavern knocked down for this!

  • We absolutely love Geyser Point @ Wilderness Lodge! The food is awesome, they have a great variety of drinks, and the atmosphere is awesome. Nothing beats the views of Bay Lake. We also love hitting up the Wave Lounge at the Contemporary every time my fiancé and I visit. The bartenders are friendly and heavy-handed. Very relaxing place to unwind after a day at the Magic Kingdom.

  • Another great article. Only addition I can think of off the top of my head is Raglan Road. Great beer selection and the entertainment is top notch. At Nomad Lounge I actually really like the drinks, some of the best I’ve had on property. At La Cava can’t go wrong with the avocado margarita. And I completely agree with you about the flights at the Brown Derby Lounge.

  • Love this list. I did NOT enjoy Jellyrolls – it was not a great experience getting in. However, Mizner’s is my absolute favorite! You feel like royalty sitting in there perusal all the wedding parties go by outside the window. Nice views and a beautiful setting. Especially fun when the jazz band is playing! LOVE the chocolate Godiva martini!

  • There are a few reasons you should never go to The River Roost and see YEEHA BOB. The first reason is from that day forward anytime you plan a trip to WDW you’ll want to include an evening of fun and entertainment with Bob! You’ll never sign the songs you hear in the show the same as before…ever. By the end of the night you’ll know where everyone is from and you all feel like family! Conga lines are cool as well! On a side note. The later it gets the more adult the party becomes. Just know that the kiddos should go to bed at a reasonable time.

  • Joey, Great job … Will be our first trip to Disney as “empty nesters” It took me 3 weeks to research and compile (this info is not readily available anywhere) what you had just talked about in this 10 min vlog… where were you month ago befor I did all my work? While there are still a few secret lounges that you left out! Thank Goodness!. Because, for some reason You told your vlog watchers that their kids are welcome in lounges! I think the adults that go to them beg to differ. Adults are in these lounges to avoid the constant Disney kids meham for simply “Adult Time”. I never, ever would consider bringing my under age children to adult establishment.. Simply inappropriate, Nor should any child rearing parent consider this as a viable option… But hey Joey! Thanks for ruining the few places of solitude at Disney for Adults! Great Vlog research Joey!! You are just apparently to young to understand the purpose of these lounges.
