  • Hi Kristopher! Was looking for instructions on how to use my charcoal tablets (none on the package) and came across your article. OMG not only did I learn now to properly light them, but fell in love your personality and charm. You had me giggling thru the whole article. You radiate love and light and I can feel that you are an awesome person! Thanks so much for sharing your insight and burn on!

  • Friends, as long as we do not interfere with nature (when we cannot leave the house), I think we can be healthy if we return to nature likewise nature renews itself. Especially in winter, I use sage not only as a spice but also as tea. When I look at the history, this plant has been used in the treatment of many diseases. Even the Virgin Mary is mentioned in mythology. virtualmuseum.ca/sgc-cms/expositions-exhibitions/noel-christmas/expositions-exhibits/sauge-eng.html salvia.bio/sage-history If you search the internet for ‘Benefits of sage’, you will be very surprised. I wish you all a healthy day.

  • I never thought to do that with my sage. I got a cauldron from The Witches Moon box years ago when it was known as The Moon Box it was the October box I think of 2017 n it was a nice size but with no lid so I’m now trying to order cauldrons w lids and the Triquetra on it but every time I go to buy it they are sold out. I wanna sell them in my shop. But I love the sage idea! Also a good tip I learned w the charcoal brackets after there fully lit put sane in the center don’t cover it where it’s not getting any air cause then it will go out. Pour some in the middle And then add the herbal incense blend and it will smoke wax wax less and it will burn for a while. It’s like low smoke with a long burn time! My daughter has asthma and if I do that ( I also cover it 80% of the way when she’s home as well!! And I get aroma and I don’t have to worry about it being to strong) then she’s good. If u have trouble w some put that lid on at least 80% and sand on the charcoal Bracket.

  • Thanks so much for this demonstration. I wasn’t heating my charcoal disks until they were red and they’d fizzle quickly. Duh, now I know how to do it! I don’t know if you’d ever care to, but I’d like a demo of calling four corners and closing a circle before a ritual. (I’ve read how, but am learning solo, and would like to see.) Thanks again.

  • I don’t think you did anything wrong at all. A very informative article. I use a brass lotus bowl I bought at a thrift store and I bought 2 boxes of the king’s charcoal from Walmart online. I also like to burn chamomile, lavender and mugwort especially before bed. I buy bags of black sand from the Dollar tree about once a month and I bought a torch lighter from the general dollar store because I couldn’t find small tongs. I just set the charcoal tab in my black sand in my lotus bowl and take my torch to it. Then I throw whatever herbs I want and have even used bay leaves, sage an Anis seed (but I don’t like the way Anis smells burning YUK!) I’ll have to try flowers… haven’t done that beside the chamomile and lavender. I’ve ordered and used incense resin but can’t find any that I like or any that doesn’t make me sick! Loved your article and I love how you weren’t afraid to substitute the sand for another color sand. I’ll let the ashes build up as well and use them in simple healing spells…other spells call for ashes as well. Another thing…I used these charcoal tabs to burn Palo Santo wood when it wouldn’t stay lit! I couldn’t live without my charcoal tabs!
