This is pathetic. These hosts trying to capitalise and provoke some further controversy out of Knoxville all for content. Whilst being completely insensitive to the fact he is probably really hurting from what is happening with Bam. Knoxville handled it like the only professional in the room. God celebrity culture is fucking awful.
Lost a lot of respect for Howie after seeing this clip. Knoxville is visibly uncomfortable with the line of questioning, shuts it down multiple times. He even has to crack a joke and shut it down a final time at the end because you keep trying to edge him into a fight or into saying something negative about Bam. You’re better than this.
Ever since Ryan died that was it for Bam. Period. I mean maybe he really did have mental issues all his life because if you know him and his family well you’d know mental illness runs in his family, buuut the passing of Ryan really fucked him up and he hasn’t been right ever since. Both Howie and his cohost come off antagonistic and insensitive in this. Between her comment “at least it’s not your kids, right?” (as if to suggest he doesnt care if cast members get hurt) and Howie’s insistence on baiting Knoxville with “he wants to fight you” it seems so clear theyre just trying to generate click bait to stay relavent. This is disgusting and represents everything wrong and toxic about Hollywood culture. Shame on both of them and props to Johnny for not taking the bait.
The crazy thing is the original jackass crew mainly Bam and his team involved was like one big family Bam obviously has mixed feelings for Knoxville and Jeff but I genuinely think they dont hate eachother. What a lovely Stoic and mature response by Johnny. Johnny is leading with love and compassion here, despite his friend’s hostility. He genuinely loves Bam and wants to see him better. He recognizes that Bam is possessed by a demon and hopes Bam will win that fight so he can return and be good friends again. I hope one day Bam will see Johnny’s love rather than what the alcohol thinks.
It’s very funny to see these really successful TV hosts (in the sense that they’re been on TV for 20 years) completely fail when they go independent and don’t have multiple networks basically forcing people to watch them by being the only thing on TV. Especially all these people have been through together being on drugs, getting clean, pushing their friends to get clean and ultimately having to push out someone who meant so much to them. I just had a friend have to push out his best friend for years who was doing a bunch of whipitz and ruining his life. It killed him. His best friend tried to kill him on drugs. His friend is mad that he dropped him, but it’s not my place to bring up their trauma and it deeply upsets both of them. Possibly one of the worst cases of clickbait I’ve ever seen. At what point did he “walk out” on the interview? Not only did he NOT walk out, his “almost walking out” was all in fun and not because of anything Drew said or did, but because he said something that was so profound that he felt like he should just “drop the mic” and be done.
He shortly walked out in a drew Barrymore show. When drew questioned him about who’s a lover or a fighter, drew claims she is a lover and keanu disagree with her. Drew then asked why then Keanu said something sweet and cheesy that he got shy knowing how romantic he said it then walked out shortly while drew and the audience laughed in adoration. No further drama, keanu returned for 5 seconds then they continued her talk show while both keanu and drew chat in the platform sharing and giggling with their experiences.
He didn’t walk out on her at all. I watched that shoe. They were talking about love when Drew said, “I’m a lover not a fighter”. Keanu said ” you have to be a fighter because you have to fight for your love” laughed and immediately said “Only kidding.” As he was walking to back of stage. But he wasn’t mad at her at all.
I met him when I was in Walter Reed after one of my more serious injuries. He was a great Man and stayed til my wife and kids showed up cause I told him how much it would mean to me if they could meet him as we all enjoyed his movies…He even assisted me to the bathroom and back to my bed when a nurse wasn’t available and he didn’t want my wife doing it. No he didn’t wipe my ass or anything nor would I have let him. The only other actor that I recommend is Denzel Washington.
A couple years back a group of friends and myself were traveling through Europe. Towards the end of our trip we hit Sicily. It was early morning we needed coffee too much fun the night before. A beautiful man siting by himself sunglasses on. Black suit on legs on his pants and arm sleeves both rolled up he happen to gaze up. OMG Keanu Reeves cuter in person. The kindest person ever. It is a blessing that his success has not tainted his perception to the “everyone owes me because I am famous” that a lot of celebs get sucked into. I met him years ago in los angeles and we actually spoke for a bit and he was so down to earth. I’m not sure why people talk talk bad about celebrities when they don’t even know them. I’ve met many and have been in many situations where it’s completely the opposite. Actually, I do know why….
