Which Magic Kingdom Rides Are Compatible With Genie Plus?

Tiana’s Bayou Adventure is a reimagined ride that replaces Splash Mountain, which was once the top 3 Lightning Lane in Magic Kingdom. The difference is that Tiana’s Bayou Adventure literally means “Two-Five”.

The Genie+ service at Disney’s Magic Kingdom park facilitates a streamlined park experience by managing your itinerary effectively through the My Genie+ app. The most popular rides on Genie+ at Magic Kingdom include Jungle Cruise, Space Mountain, Peter Pan’s Flight, Splash Mountain, and Big Thunder Mountain Railroad. Currently, one ride at every park costs an additional amount to “skip the line” at Disney World. Which ride should I book first with Genie Plus?

Some of these attractions are only available through IAS, but many are regular Genie+ Lightning Lanes.

Some of these rides continue to be extremely popular. Disney World Lightning Lanes currently unavailable include Jungle Cruise, Slinky Dog Dash, Rise of the Resistance, Smugglers Run, Test Track, and Peter Pan’s Flight.

What are the limitations of Genie+?

Guests can make 2 Individual Lightning Lane purchases per day for Individual Lightning Lanes, and 2 rides per day for Genie+ Lightning Lanes. There are limits on the frequency of reservations, with “using” a Lightning Lane if it is not used and expires. Genie+ Lightning Lane reservations are blocked until the reservation is either used, canceled, or expires. This policy ensures fair usage and usage of the ride.

What is the 120 minute rule at Disney World?

The Genie 120-minute rule allows for multiple Genie+ Lightning Lane reservations at a time, with the rule allowing two hours since the last reservation or two hours since park opening. If you’re holding a reservation when the 120-minute rule applies, you can have two at a time. This is called stacking.

Cancellations of individual Lightning Lane reservations are not possible, but if the ride is down during your reservation window and you cannot use it later, it can be refunded after the park closes. To cancel a reservation, click on the reservation and select Cancel. You can choose to cancel only some members of your party or all of them.

Modifications to a Lightning Lane reservation are not possible, but they can be made to change the time or to a different attraction in the same park. However, modifying a Lightning Lane reservation may change the time when you can book a new one, as there are two times that govern when you can make a new reservation: when your return window opens and the time you made it.

If the start of your return window was within two hours of when you made the reservation, the time you can book again might change. Modifying a reservation won’t affect your eligibility if it wasn’t the one blocking your eligibility.

At this time, you can only modify a Lightning Lane reservation to an attraction in a different park.

The three best times to use Genie+ for most time savings are high crowd days at Magic Kingdom, high crowd days at EPCOT, and medium crowd days at Magic Kingdom. Average users benefit from the large number of eligible attractions at Magic Kingdom because they don’t have to do as much research or have lightning-fast clicks through the Tip Board.

The three worst times to use Genie+ (for time savings) are low crowd days at Animal Kingdom, low crowd days at EPCOT, and medium crowd days at Animal Kingdom. Hollywood Studios “breaking” at high crowd levels allows for just as much time saving on a low crowd day as on a high crowd day, and thanks to variable pricing, the low crowd price will almost certainly be lower. On a high crowd day, Hollywood Studios is now the worst park for using Genie+, with the least time savings.
