Im a newby. I have used my cooking mortar and pestle for my first protection spell. Lol 😒 I used my kitchen mortar wok & herbs to make my protection black salt and didn’t wash the eggshells before grinding them : is it gonna really alter the outcome ? Since all the power comes from the intention rather than the way we do it. My deco is Buddhist / Hindu / Yoga zen type : I don’t want my altar to look obvious like a witch altar with skulls and ugly creepy stuff cuz it’s not my style and there’s people coming in my flat: the maid, the landlord, guests, my mom. I used my Buddhist incense burners and my wok as a cauldron, my kitchen mortar & knives as athame and put it back in the kitchen after. I recycled my Buddhist Myanmar bells souvenirs to clear negative energies on tarot decks… all my candle holders I bought for decoration will now serve in candle magic, my clear quartz soap holder used now as a stand for tarot… I hope it’s not a problem.
