The Scarlet Witch, born with cosmic powers, has a vast knowledge of mystical spells and incantations invoking names and aspects of various extra-dimensional objects, beings, and sources of power. Her powers theoretically make her the most powerful person alive, but she has two major weaknesses that prevent her from being the Avengers’ strongest member.
The Scarlet Witch uses chaos magic, which works at will and affects probability, control and manipulate the environment around her, and cast spells and implant illusions into her surroundings.
Superhuman genes allow energy and reality manipulation and powerful access to magical energies, such as chaos magic, teleportation, and time manipulation. Wanda has shown the ability to cast “spells” by only saying or focusing on what she wants to happen, which could be related to the nature of her powers. All Scarlet Witch characters will be able to cast spells in this way, and only the Witch Who Cast Them Can Use Her Magic.
In conclusion, the Scarlet Witch has a vast knowledge of mystical spells and incantations, including the ability to cast spells that cause psychic damage, manipulate the environment, and cast spells that implant illusions. However, her weaknesses and the nature of her powers make her the most powerful person alive.

Who can easily beat Scarlet Witch?
Despite his greater power than that of cosmic entities such as Thanos and Galactus, Franklin Richards is a human who can readily overcome them.
Can Wanda create realities?
The speaker acknowledges her ability to create infinity stones in the forehead of Vision, yet she does not utilize this power as a decisive advantage, as she possesses the capacity to alter reality.
Can Scarlet Witch beat Thanos?
Scarlet Witch, the most powerful character in the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU), was introduced in Captain America: The Winter Soldier, which introduced Wanda and Pietro Maximoff as non-mutant characters. This changed the concept of Scarlet Witch and Quicksilver, including Wanda’s powers. Wanda was initially described as an “enhanced” individual, originating from the Mind Stone through HYDRA experiments. Despite her power, she failed to defeat Thanos in Avengers: Infinity War and Avengers: Endgame.
Wanda was already one of the strongest MCU characters during Marvel’s Phase 3, but her all-powerful form was not fully developed until WandaVision in Marvel’s WandaVision. In Phase 3, Wanda was an energy-based character with signature abilities similar to other Marvel characters like Jean Grey or the MCU’s Vision. Age of Ultron and Captain America: Civil War “nerfed” Wanda compared to the comics, and it was only in Infinity War that Marvel hinted at her immense power.
Can Wanda cast spells?
Wanda, a powerful and feared character, has the ability to cast spells by focusing on what she wants to happen. Her main power is the superhuman ability to manipulate Chaos magic, which allows her to alter reality and control various forms of mystical energy. Wanda received the blessing of the old God of chaos, Chthon, upon her birth, which allowed her to use his Chaos Magic as her own. However, Chthon never wanted to bless Wanda with his magic but to use her as a vessel to possess when she reached her full potential.
Magic is another powerful ability Wanda possesses. Her witchcraft powers are inherited from her true mother, the original Scarlet Witch, who hails from a long line of sorcerers. Wanda’s witchcraft powers are linked to the energy of earth and womankind, making her one of the most powerful magic users on the planet. She is considered the very Nexus Being of the central universe of Earth-12041, serving as the entity that personifies the realm’s character and serves as the focal point or anchor of that reality.
As a Nexus Being, Wanda is a living focal point for earth’s mystical energies and belongs equally to all possible timelines, realities, and divergences. Wanda was trained by Agatha Harkness, who taught her how to control and use her powers for various mystical purposes.
Can Scarlet Witch absorb magic?
In the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU), the character Scarlet Witch has the ability to absorb the powers of other characters. This was demonstrated in the film Multiverse of Madness, in which Wanda Maximoff, the mutant superheroine also known as the Scarlet Witch, absorbed the power of Captain Marvel, leading to the latter’s demise in a statue.
Is Loki powerful than Wanda?
In the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU), Time god Loki is more powerful than Scarlet Witch, who has limitless powers and can only project her astral form into other branches. Loki maintains all branches simultaneously and returns the multiverse to its original form, Yggdrassil. With his ability to enchant people from Sylvie, control his time travel, and weave multiple universes’ timelines into the tree of life, he has leveled up.
Wanda, historically more powerful than Thor, has evolved from enchanting one person to brainwashing towns, controlling demonic beasts, and defeating sorcerers at Kamer Taj and Agatha Harkness. Both have their strengths and weaknesses, making it difficult to determine the true strength of the two.
What is Scarlet Witch most powerful spell?
The Scarlet Witch, a superhuman with the ability to manipulate chaos magic, is a powerful entity that has been given to her by the demon Chthon. Her hexes are indirect manifestations of this magic, destabilizing probabilities and inducing chaos. These powers are not fully understood under her conscious control, and their effects persist even after Doctor Strange’s Eye of Agamotto shuts down her mind. Wanda Maximoff, a powerful being, has the ability to generate armies, revive Wonder Man, alter Earth-616 reality, and wipe any in her illusory reality from existence with just a thought.
She has caused the loss of 98 of the mutant population and the deletion of the Mutant Genome created by the near-omnipotent Celestials on a multiversal scale. Wanda’s one spell is so complex and strong that it has woven itself into reality and the world of magic itself, and if he were to reverse it, all of reality would implode. She is also capable of healing the severely damaged legs of Charles Xavier, despite his Earth and alien friends’ attempts to heal him for countless years.
Wanda Maximoff is considered the “nexus-being” of the central universe of Earth-616, serving as the entity that personifies the realm’s character and serves as the focal point or anchor of that reality.
What powers does Scarlett the witch have?
Wanda Maximoff, a character with powers derived from the Mind Stone in Loki’s scepter, has telekinesis, energy manipulation, and neuroelectric interfacing. She learns combat and tactical skills under the guidance of Avengers Captain America and Black Widow. Wanda’s enemies change significantly as she changes allegiances. During her youth, Wanda hates Tony Stark, leading her to form an initial ally, Ultron, who manipulates her and her twin brother Pietro into working for him against the Avengers. However, Wanda realizes Ultron as the true enemy and helps stop his evil scheme. Although their relationship does not develop into friendship, they become teammates as part of the Avengers.
Is Scarlet Witch Omega level?
The Scarlet Witch from the Age of X alternate reality has the same broad powers as her main universe version, except Wanda is considered an Omega-Level Mutant in Earth-616. She nearly destroyed Magneto, her father, in this reality. The Silver Witch, from the Earth-TRN852 universe, combines her magical ability with her brother Quicksilver’s superhuman speed, running with the fastest superheroes in Marvel Comics. The comics retconned this, but with the MCU incorporating mutants, this could change again.
Can Scarlet Witch beat Voldemort?
Despite her physical capabilities, the Scarlet Witch demonstrates a profound understanding of magical principles and the capacity to influence the soul. This enables her to overcome the Horcruxes of Voldemort and You-Nose-Who and to expel the Horcruxes from Voldemort.
Could Scarlet Witch beat Superman?
Superman, known for his strength and resilience, is not immune to magic, making Scarlet Witch’s ability to defeat him a significant challenge. Superman’s power comes from the sun, and his charging method gives him no immunity to magic damage. In the DC Universe and MCU, few characters can match Wanda Maximoff’s magical abilities. Superman is generally considered the strongest hero, capable of taking hits from any villain and dishing them back 10 times harder.
However, Scarlet Witch’s incredible power may be enough to defeat Superman in a fight. Both Superman and Scarlet Witch have maintained a significant presence on the big and small screen, pushing their abilities beyond their limits, especially in comics. The outcome of their fight could be different if they faced off in a fight, as their continued adventures have pushed their abilities beyond their limits.

Sometimes people also underestimate Wanda’s intelligence, mostly because it tends to be overshadowed by her emotional instability. Wanda pulling off that rune trick against a master witch like Agatha was incredibly impressive. Strange had the Ancient One, and it’s high time Wanda got a teacher too. Though, in a way, Agatha also taught her so much in such a short span of time, so props to Agatha too. Wanda has great raw power, but she just lacks knowledge.
This scene hits differently after Multiverse of Madness. Agatha unintentionally helped Wanda become the Scarlet Witch. She told her about the Darkhold and everything. WandaVision basically set the stage for Wanda to go dark but we ignored it because we were focused on her dealing with her grief and moving on. I think having her snap in the Multiverse of Madness was a necessary part of her journey and now the healing can begin.
Wanda can destroy an Infinity Stone, almost single-handedly defeat Thanos, and create pocket realities. Imagine now what the Scarlet Witch can do…Also, looking at the route she’s taking, I hope it’s going to be like Dr Strange, whose mastery of magic improved by leaps and bounds from his first movie to Infinity War. Looking forward to the Scarlet Witch in the Multiverse of Madness! If there’s no plot armour Wanda could probably have ended everything with three words: “No. More. Multiverses.”
I don’t think the scarlet witch is someone who can be drained once activated. Like I 100% do think Wanda was using an illusion enchantment to fool Agatha into thinking she had deteriorated to full floating corpse status. But you’d think she would still have the zombie hands after dropping her illusion since that happened when she still had little idea that she was the Supreme of all witches. But her black hands also restored to full health. I think Wanda pre-Diadem was only working with like 0.000001% of her true power and as soon as she finally accepted her crown after successfully casting witchcraft runes and no longer thought she only had psychokinetic powers from the mindstone experiments, that repressed energy started to slowly manifest—at first just healing her, but quickly becoming such a concentrated singularity of power that it was like a black hole and drained Agatha of all the power she had stolen from countless covens starting with Salem. I do love the idea of her activation being like some sort of singularity event because I love the theory of Kang’s threshold being her ascension. It makes sense because she is the living embodiment of the entire multiverse’s chaos magic in the MCU and after Kang’s “threshold,” his sacred timeline instantly splits into a multiverse of infinite chaos. Also just want to point out that Fox tried and failed twice to do something similar with the Phoenix Force saga and Disney is showing that it CAN be done! I don’t know if the Phoenix Force is even relevant in the MCU with Wanda being a Nexus Being, but this gives me hope that someday Disney will actually give us a successful depiction of Jean Grey’s dark descent into madness and cosmic power.
Agent Jimmy Woo produces his identification with a flick of the wrist, the card appearing in his hand as if by magic. This is a reference to the character’s first appearance in Ant-Man and the Wasp where he is shown to be instantly fascinated by Scott Lang’s mastery of close-up magic, but completely unable to do any tricks himself.
The more I think about MoM the madder I get. WandaVision was a superb and original exploration of grief and acceptance and finally gave us a fully realized Scarlet Witch with this sequence. All its momentum seemed squandered in Multiverse of Madness. Or maybe I just wanted a happy ending for the poor woman instead of being buried under rocks after a murder spree.
People have no idea how monumental this scene is. Wanda was first introduced in 2015, and ever since, everyone has been waiting for her to become the Scarlet Witch. Before WandaVision, she was just a sidekick. Very powerful obviously, but still just a side character. This here embracing the mantle and prophecy of the Scarlet Witch will be one of the top most moments in the whole MCU. Aside from the perfect score, VFX, and costume, the writers finally giving her true identity and own storyline is HUGE. Kudos to Marvel for creating not only a great show, but perfect character transition.
Hmm… I wonder if Agatha was onto something when she said Wanda as the Scarlet Witch is doomed to destroy the world? I mean there has been lots of foreshadowing in regards to that: 1) Wanda is associated with death: she was present when her parents died, her brother died and was even forced to kill her beloved. 2) She almost destroyed the world as she was the one that made Tony paranoid enough to build Ultron and even helped the android with his plans to destroy everything (albeit unknowingly). 3) She’s heavily associated with strife and war as it was kind of her fault civil war occurred in the first place as she accidentally blew up a building while telekinetically levitating a bomber. All this shows that despite being a reluctant fighter and not meaning to cause harm, she always winds up doing so and death follows the poor woman around. I genuinely think she is going to become an antivillain or antagonist in Dr. Strange 2.
I finally realized what makes Wanda’s magic in particular so strong (besides being fueled by an infinity stone) and clever. It’s bc it’s so much more physical and instinctual for her. Agatha has to use spells, spoken words, a hair etc, and even when she doesn’t do something outwardly, since she learned from texts, logic suggests she has to at least think of the spells themselves to do them. That splits her attention the slightest bit. Wanda’s magic is much more like an interpretive dance, no need for spells and such to take away from pushing all her energy into the raw power, or the sneakiness or whatever, within the magic itself. idk if this made sense but hopefully someone gets it lol
People who hate Scarlet witch she was reading the darkhold Because she has nothing left and Agatha told Wanda she was in the book of the darkhold she just wanted to understand her power That’s why she was reading it and she has been through so much While she was reading the Darkhold She heard her kids voice were actually real NOT MAGIC that’s why she Finally thought she could have love again but she was corrupted by the darkhold to kill and murder She is not a villain I don’t care what you say She suffered a lot She was an orphan and she was experiment by hydra like a lab rat In the past she never had that emotional love that everyone gave her do you expect her to love other people easily and understand them? she been in hell in the past her family was killed and she was a experiment by hydra and a orphan and she killed her husband twice so she just broken So no she is not a villain Besides Everyone Doesn’t even like her in her Universe that’s why she wanted to go to another universe So she can have peace and love with her family So stop saying she’s Evil Don’t blame her for what she done
God I love flying scenes. It just looks so natural too see two humans flying like this. Really loved how we actually got a magical energy fight in the air versus the usual, I hit you with a surge of magical energy, you hit me with a surge of magical energy, and the two energies collide and now it’s a fight for which energy hits the person. (I.E Harry Potter).
In the world of power being born a redhead is the most powerful power that you can have, its a fact that red represents power thats why you see red in flags, it has alot to do with the power in blood and blood benders are very powerful but yet quite dangerous and you can inplode if you cant control your powers .
This article has wrong title.Wanda did not become the scarlet witch in this scene.Wanda finally accepts that she is a witch and manifests this costume from the vision that the mind stone showed her.She was forged into the scarlet witch the moment grief overwhelmed her and chaos magic literally exploded out and altered all of Westview.
Sorry for another comment on the same article, but how are we feeling about Wanda as Scarlet Witch & a Supreme Nexus being possibly squaring off against Dark Dr. Strange and literal demon (possibly Mephisto?) 😗😗😗 **Spoiler warning for what if 4** My theory is Dark Strange absorbed so many cosmic horrors that he has become the MCU Mephisto. A demon lord/devil. He was trapped in his dead universe of infinite darkness and emptiness and eventually fills it with his suffering, rage, and hatred—creating a whole universe that is akin to hell. A hell dimension. He is cosmically powerful, but still cannot spontaneously create matter and life like Wanda can and cannot absorb her because she’s a supreme nexus being. So he has her babies trapped in “hell” and is going to coerce Wanda into creating a whole new universe that is based on the memories of Dark Strange. Where he can finally live in a stable universe with his version of his beloved Christine. But doing this will have some dark consequence that our version of Dr. Strange will be desperately trying to avoid like possibly unleashing the Cthulhu monster that keeps showing up in what if. This could also link to No Way Home. The deal with the devil vibes. These stories stem from the folk tale of Mephistopheles making a deal with Satan at risk of a terrible personal cost, but outwitting the devil for a good while. “Mephisto” There are other details that lead me down this theory but the big one is Sam Raimi said Multiverse of Madness will have the spirit of a horror movie.
Im not impress at DSMOM like im craving for more.I think Sam Raimi should have watched wandavision befor making DSMOM also Sam Raimi nerfed Doctor Strange so bad.If he didnt nerfed doctor strange and He watched Wandavision We could have get a super nice Scarlet Witch vs Doctor strange and it would be epic.Sam Raimi focused on the Scarlet Witch’s Telekinesis and bolts like If He watched wandavision We’ll see more Abilities the Scarlet Witch have. But were too late I think DSMOM is last time we’ll see Scarlet Witch or If Agatha House of Harkness “I think that’s what it calls to agatha series if its true that she’ll have one cause im still confuse?.Correct me if im wrong”If agatha revives Scarlet Witch or Scarlet Witch isnt really dead.I dont know its so confusing Sam Raimi left us confuse so I hope We still see Scarlet Witch If its possible. Sorry if its long
Tell me one scene that gets near this masterpiece, when she transforms you can hear two different soundtracks, one is more like “yes! She did it!” And the second one like “oh god, she did it…” AND IT MAKES SO MUCH SENSE LIKE SHE BECOMES THE MOST DANGEROUS AND POWERFUL BEING THAT IS THE SCARLET WITCH, the visuals effects, THE COSTUME, the pose, everything just EPIC.
You know, rewatching this, im starting to think that it isnt Doom that saves the universe from collapsing in up incoming Marvel’s secret wars. But Wanda. In her attempt to stop the multiverse from falling apart and everyone from fighting in the incursions, she rewrites reality in its entirety like in the House Of M.
This is why I dont believe the Scarlet Witch is gone. (THIS wanda might be dead but elizibeth Olsen as scarlet witch will be back). You can’t just say ‘the scarlet witch is destined to destroy the universe’ and ‘no, you don’t know what you’ve just done’ when she finally gains scarlet witch’s powers and then kill her off in the next movie.
“I don’t need you to tell me who I am”… Spoiler: Later in Doctor Strange 2. she abuses her powers and she’s so proud of calling herself the Scarlet Witch to scare others! Wanda my dear your coherence is as broken as you! She didn’t even know who she was and then she acts like she’s the best of all… 🙈🤦♀️
The Scarlet Witch is a NEXUS BEING. Means there’s only ONE version of this creature throughout the vast and endless multiverse. and at this moment, 616 Wanda Maximoff became the only Wanda Maximoff in the entire multiverse to embraced the Scarlet Witch and the full power of the chaos magic. Avengers 5’s upcoming multiversal war already gives universe 616 an edge among the rest for having their secret star player.
Recently in X-Men comics it’s revealed she’s practically immortal as she can revive herself with her Chaos Magic. Not only that she unknowingly created giant KAIJU monsters that the XMEN and Avengers couldn’t defeat until Wanda came and dissipated them. Also she created a different dimension called the Eldritch Orchard a heavenly realm for mutants where she can revive herself and all mutants that have ever died. Purr
I am suprised how easy it is to just absorb power and ability from someone else. I expect some ability such as scarlet witch magic would be difficult to steal but apparently it is not. If Wanda did not make the runes, Agatha would be the Scarlet Witch instead. If Agatha finds out about Wanda scarlet witch magic earlier on when she is still a kid, she could just easily absorbs Wanda’s power.
Guys, I just came up with something cool. What if in phase 4, everyone is beat up and lost their weapon. Then Wanda magically with her red powers give people their weapon back but like in red. Like The Falcon gets a red shield. The Winter Soldier gets a red arm. Hawkeye get red arrows, etc… And they say some line and and charge at who ever the villain is. That would be very cool to see.
